Iwaarden gives the facade of citizenM Paris a fresh look
On the facade of citizenM Paris a work of art by Julian Opie has been displayed for 10 years. This British artist is known for his Pop Art Style with a minimalist touch. Iwaarden had the honour of restoring the artwork to its former glory by fully replacing this large-scale print with a new and fresh version.
Colourful print on One Way Vision film
A facade of 225 m² covered with a new print requires thorough preparation. After carefully planning the project, Iwaarden started printing on One Way Vision film. This film consists of 35% small holes, with a black backing and adhesive layer. We printed on the white front side. Thanks to this black backside, you can still look from inside to outside, because your eyes focus on the outside light. From the outside, you see the beautiful print by Julian Opie.
In Paris, we faced a practical challenge: limited access space to the facade. As a result, the installation was carried out using a single aerial platform. Despite these logistic challenges, the result is impressive, thanks to the dedication and expertise of the team.
