In the Fotomuseum you step into a dark room, where you actually ‘experience’ the images. It’s like walking through the world that Arko Datto shows us. The contrast of the bright colours in the dark surroundings make it a fairytale world, but the opposite is true……With the images Datto shows the consequences of the climate crisis in Ganga - Brahmaputra - Meghna delta. Here, the ground disappears under the feet of about 300 million delta residents.
The dark room in the museum refers to the night, when the photos were taken. By combining the dark with the light from the light boxes, a perfect contrast in the images is created. The bright colours in the photos get an extra dimension. The photos were printed in large format and then pushed into the light boxes.
