Reality and illusion flow into each other

Sleeuwits builds the ribs and planes of several cubes and provides them with coloured and mirrored surfaces, creating a direct interaction between the artwork and the existing architecture. This is reinforced by the floor prints, which take the perspective play further and complete the illusion of an infinite space.

The Fotomuseum asked Iwaarden to realise the graphics on the floor. We digitised the supplied files and closely matched the print work to the colours of the installation. The prints were produced on a highly adhesive but removable floor film and finished with a protective laminate. With precision, our fitters applied the prints to seamlessly match the installation. So feel free to step into this optical illusion!
