Artwork in stairwell Het Sieraad
Visual artist Niek Kemps made an artwork on the windows of the stairwell for Het Sieraad in Amsterdam. Iwaarden realized the artwork by applying a combination of full-colour print on window film and a mural on the walls.
Location of the artwork
Het Sieraad is a multifunctional building in Amsterdam and has been a National Monument since 2003. Architect A.J. Westerman designed the school building in 1921-1923. It is a beautiful example of the Amsterdam School. The building was restored in 2004-2007. The courtyard was covered by a glass roof, creating a light atrium. The artwork by Niek Kemps is the eye catcher in the heart of the building.
