Air-purifying mural Nouch
At the Krugerplein in Amsterdam, Nouch shows how a work of art can purify the air. She painted the mural ‘Airhead – the dirty air eater’, which literally eats the polluted city air. The white Airlite purifies the air and the black Air-ink is made from black smuts. Every square meter of this work of art has the same environmental effect as one square meter of planted forest
Mural with a clear message
Nouchka Huijg, better known as Nouch, gives all passers-by a message and challenges them to think about sustainability. Her black-white balloon head symbolizes a clean air and, at the same time, the empty-headedness of people when it comes to air pollution. This mural is the 3rd family member of the balloon heads in the public space. Nouch is now looking for more locations for the ‘family’ in our outside Amsterdam.
