This year, the monumental Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam, served as the setting for Design District 2024. At this fair, approximately 200 interior brands present their latest products primarily to interior architects. Iwaarden was present to discover the latest trends and developments in the field of interior design! Do you take a look at some of our finds?

Textiles and their possibilities
Textiles are indispensable in interior design; they are aesthetically appealing, functional and environmentally friendly and are applied in various ways in the interior world. As you know, they are used for curtains and upholstering furniture. But did you know, textiles are increasingly being used to cover walls? Textile wall coverings are both used decoratively (e.g. wall tapestries) and functionally (e.g. acoustic panels). The versatility of the material, the colours and textures are optimally used and add softness and warmth to the interior.

As a producer of decorative wall coverings, we are committed to stay up-to-date with the latest materials and products. We seek for innovative and inspiring solutions, that achieve the ultimate combination of functionality and decoration. 

In the field of acoustic wall coverings, there are many developments, especially in the composition and application of the material. For instance, we discovered the brand Decibel by Johanson, which designs and produces acoustic wall panels. Their feature? A modular concept that allows you to easily create a playful pattern by combining panels of different sizes and colours. 

Our attention was also drawn to Lintex, a brand which produces glass whiteboards. While we produce our whiteboards with panels and film, Lintex produces glass whiteboards. This is a new and stylish addition to our range of wall solutions in interior design.
