“Dare to dream” at 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen

12 and 13 june 2024

On June 12 and 13, we had 3daysofdesign on our agenda. A three-day event in Copenhagen, where many (Scandinavian) brands and designers showcase their products and innovations. Showrooms, shops, galleries, streets and other special locations open their doors. The perfect place to discover new brands and gain inspiration.

Day 1 | Wednesday, June 12
After a short flight we arrive in stylish Copenhagen, the city where we immerse ourselves in new design, acoustic solutions, special designs and luxurious furniture. Just like in Milan, we rent a bike and race from one location to another. We start in the city center, where the Lintex’s glass whiteboards, +Halle’s acoustic office furniture and HAY’s bustling storage stand out.

Along the way, we come across Montana’s colourful furniture. They make pieces that you can put together yourself using a tool. Their designs offer flexibility and personalization in both colour and shape. In the same neighbourhood, we visit Troldtekt, where they develop acoustic wall panels made of wood and cement in various colours and patterns.

Buzzing chatter and contagious beats draw us into a lively street; here Normann Copenhagen is located. The modern and stylish design products at the entrance entice us inside. It is a paradise for people who love furniture, lighting, accessories and textile with a minimalist and Scandinavian touch.

We continue cycling through the colourful Nordhavn and stop at Christian IV’s Bryghus, an impressive historic building. Inside, the latest creations of designers are presented, along with innovative solutions. Our highlights of the day? Vibrant colour schemes, thoughtful acoustic solutions and innovative products.

Day 2 | Thursday, June 13
Godmorgen! Our day starts in the north of Copenhagen. We continue our quest for brands that offer unique acoustic solutions. Kvadrat Acoustic creates structures covered with textiles, while Rockfon offers solutions made from stone wool, allowing for any desired 3D-shape.

Then, we return to the city center, where we pass by Ferm Living. The Scandinavian brand is known for its contemporary interior products. The Scandinavian brand is characterized by clean lines and subtle details. Minimalist design with a warm appearance.

Akuart, a brand that also offers acoustic solutions, is located on the same premises. What particularly catches our attention, are the room dividers: a system you that can be customized with various acoustic panels.

Finally, we cycle to an industrial warehouse, where designers showcase their latest creations. It is fascinating to see so much innovation and creativity in one place. 

Tak København! Team Iwaarden has been inspired, has developed new materials and met emerging acoustic brands. Now, we’re heading home to share everything with our colleagues in the Netherlands.
